Volunteer With Us

This experience will change your life

Why You Should Volunteer With Us

It is quality, not quantity that counts. We organize only one dental project yearly, but we invest lots of effort in making this experience unique. By taking a small group of volunteers along, we ensure that our approach can be individual and that after spending two weeks together we will become a small family.

Our goal is to spend quality time together, not only while working, but also afterward. We want our volunteers to discover the place, meet a different culture, create beautiful memories, as well as new friendships, and eventually to feel like at home.

No matter if you are already a graduated doctor or a student of dental medicine– during the project we are all equal and we focus on one thing – helping others. If you are curious and open-minded if you want to participate in an remarkable adventure combined with the professional realm of dentistry – join us.

Some of the things we do as volunteers:

– helping children in schools by educating them about oral health and teaching them how to brush their teeth properly
-educating and teaching local physicians our school ways and new techniques
-treating patients in various clinics “pain relief treatments”
-meeting new people of different cultures and integrating the better part of our own culture by raising awareness of importance in maintaining oral health
-working with kids with disabilities and gaining more knowledge and experience in our professional career
-helping those who don’t have and are in serious need of professional help

Volunteers About Us

Dr Alexander Gurtner, Austria

„Dental projects in Tanzania and Myanmar were life-changing experiences. While our patients benefited through the individual approach and modern treatment, we created precious memories and built new friendships and professional contacts“

Isabella Mittag, Germany

“An amazing journey into the unknown! Getting to know dentistry from a very different angle, learning to deal with new situations, and being able to help people with fewer opportunities. At the same time enjoying the astonishing nature and delicious food of Zanzibar“

Dr Ula Jacek, Poland

„I participated in voluntary projects both in Nepal and in Tanzania and it was a fulfilment of my dreams. Denstittheworld is an organisation which provides help to the people who really need it. High standards and perfect management skills are the highlight of the program. It is the perfect opportunity to learn and to meet colleagues from all over the world who share the same values as you.“

Dr Alfred Kielburg, Germany

„Taking part in the Zanzibar project was the best thing I could do after graduation. Seeing a very different side of dentistry while helping the local people and on the other hand exploring a fascinating island and having a great time with lovely colleagues from all around Europe made this journey a priceless experience“

Dr Enes Isaki, Serbia

„Dental project Zanzibar was experience for life. I have received Dentisttheworld scholarship which allowed me to travel to Zanzibar and help people in need. Beside of that, connecting with colleagues and sharing knowledge while enjoying the pure nature of Zanzibar“
